The Crypt is open every Friday and Saturday evening starting September 26 until November 2 from 6-9 PM.  

The Asylum Haunted House is ONLY open November 1 and 2 from 6-9 PM. 

Please feel free to walk around the grounds, take pictures and hunt ghosts.  Feel free to tag your pictures with #SCEHaunt so others can experience it too!

The address for Sanguine Creek Estate will be revealed September 19, 2025. Check back!

There is no cost for admission, but we will be collecting donations for the Southern Maryland Food Bank.  Please bring a donation of non-perishable food to help them fight hunger in our community. 

The food bank will take any unopened non-perishable food, but particularly looks for the following:

• Canned Meat (tuna, ham, chicken, etc)

• Peanut Butter

• Pasta

• Fruits (canned or dried)

• Canned Soup

• Canned Vegetables

• Sauces/Salad Dressing

• Evaporated or Powdered Milk

• Oatmeal

• Breakfast Cereal

• Rice

• Beans (Canned or Dried)

There is no minimum age to visit Sanguine Creek Estates.  Every child handles fear differently and only you know whether your child will enjoy a haunted house.  We use fog and lighting effects (including strobe lights) to create a spooky atmosphere and have actors inside who want to scare you, BUT NO TOUCHING IS ALLOWED. 

If you want to attend, but your child is too scared to go inside the haunted house, there are other entertaining and amusing effects spread throughout the grounds:  Hunt ghosts using your mobile device in the Hide & Shriek ghost hunters game; listen to the stories of the ghosts in our crypt; take fun pictures at any of the fun photo stops; listen to the singing jack-o-lanterns ply their trade. There's fun for all ages!

Hide & Shriek is a unique game that anyone can play on their mobile device without downloading or providing personal information.  You just need a data connection in order to play. 

Simply pick up a decoder card from the Hide & Shriek kiosk near the entrance and go off in search of ghosts.  Once found, Tap your mobile device to the "Start Capture" button on the ghost and open the link. The ghosthunter program will capture hte ghost and give you a code.  Match the code to the letter on the decoder card and fill in the missing letter anywhere you see the corresponding ghost shape.
