Dr. Samuel C. Edwards purchased the Sanguine Creek Estates in 1890. A former pox ward, and hospital for those suffering from menail illness, Dr. Edwards seeks to heal unseen malady's with the latest treatments. His research furthers our understanding of the human mind. An avid historian, Dr. Edwards has sought to better undersand the malady's that affected previous inhabitants of the Sanguine Creek in order to further his own research.
From the journal of Dr. Edwards:
In the research that I have done over the few short months that I have owned Sanguine Creek Estates I have been utterly fascinated by this land and the history that it has seen. Sanguine Creek has seen the best, and the worst that this land has had to offer its citizens.
From the very beginning people came to the creek seeking a peaceful respite, a safe place to live and to raise their families. The first town seems to have disappeared, leaving only the chapel, which still stands at the back of the current estate. I have strived to learn more about the people who first settled here, but they left almost nothing behind. There are old scorch marks in the chapel, but no indication of their age or origin.
It didn’t take long for others to come and rebuild. The new town remained for a short time, but then it seems with the outbreak of the colonial rebellion, the wealthiest man around chose to side with the British. He evicted all the tenants and consolidated his authority, formally creating the estate. Sebastian Carter chose to side with the British, against his neighbors and against his adopted country.
